PUBLIC LECTURE ON LESSONS LEARNED FROM QUAKES SET

A public lecture on earthquakes will be presented Monday at 7 p.m. in Johnson Hall, Room 200, at Southeast Missouri State University.

Dr. Charles Scawthorn of EQE Engineering, an engineering consulting firm in San Francisco, will discuss "Lessons Learned from Earthquakes Around the World and Practical Applications for the Central United States."

The lecture is sponsored by the Center for Earthquake Studies at Southeast, the Central United States Earthquake Consortium, and the United States Geological Survey.
