State legislators from Southeast Missouri will meet for a forum at the University of Missouri Extension Center in Jackson on June 28 to discuss the issue of higher education in the state. Topics will include a report of the most recent legislative session's impact on higher education and information about how institutions can benefit from state assets, according to information released by the University of Missouri Extension. The meeting is open to the public. The forum, sponsored by the University of Missouri Extension and the MU Alumni association, will begin at 8 p.m. and will be followed by an open question-and-answer session.
