Five public hearings about changes to the Missouri Vocational Rehabilitation state plan have been scheduled this month throughout the state, including one in Cape Girardeau, according to a Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education news release. The hearings will be conducted by MVR to gather feedback on goals and priorities for the upcoming revised plan, the release said. The Cape Girardeau hearing will be from 1 to 3 p.m. March 18 at the SEMO Alliance for Disability Independence, 755 S. Kings­highway, the release said. The release said written comments about revisions to the state plan should be submitted by March 31 to: Lisa Sone, Missouri Vocational Rehabilitation, Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, 3024 Dupont Circle, Jefferson City, MO 65109; or to info@vr.dese.mo.gov. Those who require accommodations should make arrangements by calling 877-222-8963, faxing 573-751-1441 or emailing info@vr.dese.mo.gov, the release said.
