The Missouri Department of Transportation will hold a public hearing from 4 to 7 p.m. March 4 to discuss proposed improvements to Highway 51 in Bollinger County.

According to a news release from MoDOT, the meeting will be at its maintenance shed in Patton, Mo., on Highway 72, near the Highway 51/72 junction.

The project includes replacing a bridge over Little Whitewater River on a new alignment for safety reasons. The span will be six feet wider than the existing bridge.
