Property owners who do not return a completed list to the assessor by the deadline may be subject to a penalty ranging from $10 to $100 depending on the value of the property.

In January Houchin's office mailed every property owner a form on which the taxable personal property must be reported. Property owners who did not receive a form or lost the form may obtain a new one by contacting her office at (573) 545-3535, Houchin said.
