The Cape Girardeau Jaycees are collecting Christmas toys and gifts to be delivered to the city's needy children and elderly. Donations are accepted at the Southeast Missourian offices and other locations around town. Monetary donations can be mailed to P.O. Box 4; Cape Girardeau, Mo. 63702-0004.
Toybox: Two brothers, ages 12 and 6, are captivated by wrestling matches. They'd like wrestling figures and a ring for Christmas so they could play together. Also, they collect Pokemon cards and Yugi-oh cards. A race track, motorcycles or other Hot Wheels cars would make good gifts.
Christmas for the Elderly: Mrs. F lives alone and has very few visitors. Her only pet died in October. She has a history of heart problems and osteoporosis. She would like a new night gown and cotton house coat in a size 12. She also needs new socks and underwear. Sheets and towels, a new comforter and household goods would make great gifts for her as well.
