PROGRAM TO FOCUS ON CHILDREN'S ISSUES

A number of area counseling organizations will sponsor free, public presentations on child psychology from 7-9 p.m. today and Thursday at Cape Girardeau Central High School.

Tonight's presentation, to be made by Dr. Sam Goldstein, deals with the impact of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder on the family. A psychologist in the field of child development and neuropsychology, Goldstein is a nationally recognized clinician and educator.

Thursday's presentation, titled "The Unhappy Child: When is it Depression?" will address the problems of irritability, sadness and poor concentration in children. Dr. Stephen M. Soltys will speak on the subject.
