A program for the deaf and interpreters will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at SEMO Alliance for Disability Independence headquarters, 121 S. Broadview, Suite 10.
The program includes a discussion of the barriers and challenges the deaf face daily. Language and deaf culture will be discussed.
Facilitators are Jerry Covell, executive director of the Missouri Commission for the Deaf since 1992, and Joel Mankowski, who also works for the Missouri Commission for the Deaf as a workshop specialist.
