CAPE GIRARDEAU -- A program aimed at reducing heart attack risk from high blood cholesterol is now available at St. Francis Medical Center.
The Eater's Choice Cholesterol Treatment Program starts Monday and continues until March 4.
Program sessions will be held in the hospital's conference rooms from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
The fee for the six 1-hour sessions is $90 per person or $100 a couple.
Participants are asked to come a half hour early for the first session.
The class exists to help people lower their cholesterol levels, learn healthy eating habits, and lose weight while not being forced to give up their favorite foods.
Directing the class will be Linda Lawrence, certified Eater's Choice instructor and cardiac rehabilitation nurse at St. Francis.
Persons interested in registering or obtaining more information may call 339-6243 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
