The 29-year-old, who has addresses in Paragould, Arkansas, and Senath, Missouri, is accused of the May 19 death of Tiffani Noles, 28, of Paragould.

During Monday afternoon's hearing, Butler County Prosecuting Attorney Ted Thompson presented testimony from two witnesses and asked that the record be left open, so he could present additional testimony from two more witnesses.

Winkle's preliminary hearing is set to resume at 1 p.m. Aug. 25.
