CARTHAGE, Mo. -- The Precious Moments Chapel Center has been transformed for the holidays.
When the sky grows dark, the park begins to glow with more than a million twinkling lights.
A one-act show, "Christmas Remembered," also has been added as part of the weekend entertainment at the center's Wedding Island. It features Aunt Thelma, the sarcastic elderly lady whose poor hearing provided comic relief during last year's show. Characters Uncle Harry and Aunt Lucinda also return to the Island to decorate the ballroom for the holidays. It is when the tree trimming goes awry that things get a little interesting.
Performances are held every 30 minutes, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., on Saturdays and Sundays through Dec. 9. There is no 12:30 p.m. performance, however. Admission to the show is included in the all-day Attraction Pass that costs $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and $3 for children.
All of the attractions will be free Dec. 21 through Dec. 31, as part of a customer appreciation celebration. The center is closed Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
