More than 1,500 Cape Girardeau residents were without power Wednesday morning after a car struck a utility pole around 5:44 a.m. near the intersection of Lexington Avenue and Randol Avenue. Ameren Missouri spokesman Kent Martin said 978 of those residents had power restored by 8 a.m. Crews were working through the morning to have power restored to the other 524 customers by 11 a.m., and Martin said all customers were fully restored by 12:29 p.m...
