POPLAR BLUFF -- The all-day Fourth of July celebration at Poplar Bluff will include an arts and crafts fair, freedom run, several live bands, a car show and more.
"This Fourth of July will be like nothing we've had before," said Glen Perkins, chairman of the organization committee for the festival. "All of the activities will be consolidated in the downtown area so that everything will be within walking distance."
A parade kicks off at noon and the rest of the events will be going on throughout the day. Anyone interested in participating in the arts and crafts fair should contact Lavada Harrison at 314-785-4671.
Other activities are a bicycle race, Civil War camp recreation, street dance and beauty pageant.
