Poplar Bluff, Mo., woman arrested four times in three days

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- A Poplar Bluff woman was in the Butler County Jail on Tuesday after her fourth arrest in three days for alleged abuse of inhalants.

Poplar Bluff police officers report that Danielle Elizabeth Jackson, 24, of the 400 block of North Main Street was picked up twice Thursday, once Friday and once Saturday on suspicion of "huffing" from air duster canisters.

Jackson was first reported to police at 8:35 a.m. Thursday when a witness said they saw a woman in the downtown parking garage who appeared to be having a seizure.

According to police reports, officers found Jackson on Poplar Street near Fire Station No. 1, allegedly removing an air canister from her mouth.

The woman was slurring her speech and unsteady and was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, officers said, adding Jackson commented she had been out of jail two days after being incarcerated for nine months for stealing and huffing inhalants.

Officers were called at 10:41 a.m. to Office Depot. Employees said someone in possession of a can of air duster appeared to be having a seizure. They allege Jackson took cans of air duster from the store without paying for the items.

She was booked at Butler County Jail and scheduled for release Friday.

At 4:40 p.m. Friday, Jackson was arrested after an officer on patrol said he saw her using an inhalant in the area of Main and Relief streets. Jackson requested medical care and was taken to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, where doctors said she was fine and could be incarcerated, according to the report. She was again booked at the county jail, then released Saturday.

At 7 p.m. Saturday, an off- duty Butler County deputy called police to report Jackson was using an inhalant at China Garden.

Police said Jackson admitted to huffing. She was again taken to the hospital for evaluation and released by medical personnel. Jackson was then booked back into county jail.
