BENTON, Mo. -- A Poplar Bluff, Mo., man was charged in connection with a car chase Monday afternoon that lead authorities from Marble Hill, Mo., to Scott County.
Scott County Prosecuting Attorney Paul Boyd charged Kevin Dudley, 31, with resisting arrest, assault on law enforcement, armed criminal action, speeding and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. He is being held on a $100,000 cash-only bond, said Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter.
The high-speed chase began in Marble Hill and ended around 4:30 p.m. in the yard of a Scott County residence between Chaffee and Scott City. Dudley's car allegedly reached speeds of more than 100 mph on Scott County roads during the chase.
During the chase, several law enforcement vehicles were damaged, including a Scott County Sheriff's Department sport utility vehicle, a Scott City Police Department car and a Missouri State Highway Patrol car.
