CARUTHERSVILLE, Mo. -- Two women are suspects in a robbery of a casino patron.
At 1:50 a.m. Tuesday, Caruthersville police were called to a hotel. The victim said he was robbed of $11,000 in cash and casino chips and gave a description of two women and their vehicle.
Caruthersville city marshal Chris Riggs said the vehicle was stopped on Highway 54 by Hayti, Mo., police, and $12,904.50 in cash and casino chips and a small amount of marijuana were found.
A 26-year-old Blytheville, Ark., resident was being held in the Pemiscot County Jail on charges of possession of marijuana and possession marijuana with intent to deliver. A 48-year-old woman, also of Blytheville, was released pending review of the case, Riggs said.
