The Cape Girardeau Police Department is working with the Southeast Missouri DWI Task Force to participate in a statewide crackdown on drunken driving over the St. Patrick's Day weekend.
The enforcement period will be Saturday through Tuesday, according to a police department news release.
"If you have any doubt about your sobriety, do not get behind the wheel," Cape Girardeau police chief Wes Blair said in the release. "If you do choose to drive impaired, you will be arrested. No warnings. No excuses."
