Two men were in custody, and police were looking for one person of interest after a home-invasion robbery Wednesday in Jackson.
The robbery was reported at an apartment complex on Old Toll Road, according to a news release from the Jackson Police Department.
Residents reported they were confronted by three men who displayed a weapon and stole items; the victims said they were physically assaulted during the incident, the release said.
The suspects fled the scene, taking a car belonging to one of the victims, the release said. The Cape Girardeau County Sheriff's Department found the vehicle, occupied by two of the men.
One of men fled on foot. The other, Tyler W. Glydewell, 20, of Jackson was taken into custody, the release said. Glydewell has been charged with three counts of first-degree robbery, one count of armed criminal action, one count of first-degree burglary, tampering with a motor vehicle and resisting arrest. His bond has been set at $150,000, the release said.
An investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division led to the arrest of Nicholas A. Rodgers, 19, of Jackson. Rodgers is charged with three counts of first-degree robbery and one count each of armed criminal action and first-degree burglary. He is being held on $100,000 bond, the release said.
The third man, Evan D. Tillman, 23, of Jackson, is at large and should be considered armed and dangerous, according to the release.
"Right now, we're still looking for Mr. Tillman," Jackson police chief James Humphreys said. He said similar charges are expected to be brought against Tillman.
"He does have other warrants that he's being sought for," Humphreys said. The release indicated Tillman is wanted on a parole violation warrant from the Missouri Department of Corrections.
"We definitely want the public's help in finding him," Humphreys added. "Please call your local police department or call us here at the Jackson Police Department. Any information on him or his whereabouts is greatly appreciated."
Humphreys said his department has received "great assistance" from the Cape Girardeau County Sheriff's Department and "all the other agencies that assisted in bringing these guys in."
Residents with information on Tillman or his whereabouts may call Jackson police at 243-3568.
