LOS ANGELES -- Police have removed more evidence from the Los Angeles apartment of a man whose head, hands and feet were found last week in a hillside park near the famed "Hollywood" sign.

The Los Angeles Times reports detectives spent several hours Saturday at the third-floor Hollywood apartment of 66-year-old Hervey Medellin, a retired Mexicana Airlines employee. Video showed them taking items from the home.

A dog walker found Medellin's head Tuesday at Bronson Canyon Park. The head was in a plastic grocery bag. The hands and feet were found later.

A neighbor who lives on the second floor of the apartment building tells the Times he heard screaming and yelling on the floor above him about three weeks ago. The neighbor says detectives asked him when the building's garbage was taken out.
