POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- Local authorities are searching for a parole absconder wanted for questioning in connection with a Tuesday suspected kidnapping and robbery that began on the Walmart Supercenter parking lot.

At about 7:15 a.m. Tuesday, Poplar Bluff Police Lt. David Sutton said, a 27-year-old Poplar Bluff woman came to the police department to report "she had been kidnapped and robbed as she left Walmart" at about 6:30 a.m.

While in the parking lot, Sutton said, the woman reported she was approached by a woman wearing a black polo shirt that appeared to be a Burger King employee uniform. Sutton said the woman in the polo shirt asked for a ride and was refused. She "insisted and got in her car anyway," Sutton said.

Sutton said that as they were pulling away, the suspect threatened to stab the woman with a knife and demanded money. The woman "told her she didn't have any money."

The suspect, identified as Reyna Kibo-Gue from Walmart surveillance video, allegedly made the woman hand over her wedding rings, then "demanded she drive to an ATM and withdraw cash," Sutton said.

The woman, he said, drove to the Poplar Bluff Federal Credit Union ATM at the intersection of Fifth and Oak streets and withdrew $100.

"Then, the suspect told her to drive a short distance from the ATM," where Kibo-Gue allegedly got out near the intersection of Fifth and Lester and ran north and east between some houses, Sutton said.

The 29-year-old Poplar Bluff woman also is wanted on a warrant for parole absconder.

Kibo-Gue is on parole through Butler County after being convicted of receiving stolen property. Her parole expires on June 18, 2015.

Anyone with information about Kibo-Gue's whereabouts is asked to call the police department at 785-5776.
