Police: Robbery suspect needed money for kitty litter

PITTSBURGH -- Authorities say a woman jailed in four store robberies told police she needed money for dog food and kitty litter. Police said Melissa Santoro, 28, netted less than $300 in the heists. A clerk at a Sunoco gas station robbed last month and Tuesday recognized Santoro when she came in to buy cigarettes.
