The report only described the monkey as "small" and did not list its species.

The girl is the daughter of Frank Kimes, who signed the complaint.

Police reported they contacted the owner of the monkey, identified as Larry Rinehart of Bethany. Rinehart said veterinarians had checked the monkey recently and it was in good health.
