KENNETT, Mo. -- Three cotton modules, belonging to Bill Anderson, located on Dunklin County Road 516 between Kennett and Senath, Mo., were apparently set on fire Sunday night.

The Dunklin County Sheriff's Department is currently investigating the incident in an attempt to identify the individuals responsible for creating the damage. Anderson noted that the three modules contained approximately 45 bales of cotton. The sheriff's department said that this is the first act of vandalism toward cotton or farm equipment in the south region of the county this farming season.
