Officers searching a Scott City apartment Sunday found firearms, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, the Scott City Police Department reported.
Officers executed a search warrant at 300 E. Maple St., Apt. 5, after a joint investigation by the Scott City Police Department, SEMO Drug Task Force and federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, according to a news release from Scott City Police.
The search turned up crystal methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, two firearms, a police-style bulletproof vest and a bandoleer with shotgun shells, the release stated.
The suspect -- a convicted violent felon believed to be trafficking methamphetamine between Texas and Missouri -- is in custody in Texas after being arrested by the federal Drug Enforcement Agency, the release stated.
Scott County charges are pending against the suspect, who was not named in the release.
