While performing an arrest warrant Wednesday, Bollinger County sheriff’s deputies said they uncovered drugs and several guns in a suspect’s possession.
Deputies arrested Rickey L. Brown, 54, of Marble Hill, Missouri, on Wednesday. Bollinger County’s prosecuting attorney charged Brown with three counts of unlawful possession of a firearm, three counts of possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and misdemeanor use of drug paraphernalia. Brown’s bond was set at $30,000, cash only.
Police said Brown possessed alprazolam, hydrocodone and clonazepam on his person when he was booked at the Bollinger County Jail, according to a probable-cause affidavit from deputy Andrew Dooley.
A confidential informant told deputies Brown had several guns inside his residence, Dooley wrote. Brown had a previous conviction for possession of a controlled substance in 1999, felony theft in 2010 and second-degree assault on a law-enforcement officer in 2014, according to the affidavit. Deputies found two pistols, five shotguns and three rifles in Brown’s room, Dooley wrote.
Deputies could not be reached to disclose the content of the original warrant for Brown.
