ST. PETERS, Mo. -- The father of a 4-month-old boy was charged Monday with manslaughter in the death of his son on Father's Day, police said.

Richard T. Salas, 22, was arrested at his parents' home Sunday, the same day they found their 4-month-old grandson, Tyler Salas, badly injured and not breathing in their home.

Tyler died at a hospital about 30 minutes after his grandparents called 911.

An autopsy has been completed, but no details have been released.

Salas is being held in the St. Charles County jail. Investigators said he does not have a criminal record.
