Cape Girardeau police arrested a suspect in connection with an early morning morning robbery Wednesday at the Rhodes 101 convenience store at 1126 N. Sprigg St.
A 16-year-old boy was cited into juvenile court Thursday, according to Sgt. Barry Hovis, spokesman for the police department, who declined to release further details because of the age of the suspect.
The teenager allegedly robbed the store wielding a semiautomatic handgun around 3:40 a.m. Wednesday. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken during the crime. No one was injured.
The suspect fled and police spent Wednesday searching for him, using Tobin, a police canine, to track him.
