AURORA, Ill. -- A Christmas Day shooting left one family member dead and three others injured, Aurora police said.

Forty-six-year-old John Lisowski was allegedly shot and killed by his wife who also allegedly shot and injured her two young daughters before turning the gun on herself, police said in a written statement.

Sungnam Lisowski, 41, was hospitalized Wednesday in serious but stable condition at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora. No charges were filed against her Wednesday evening, but she was in police custody at the hospital, police spokesman Dan Ferrelli said.

According to police, a 911 call came in shortly before 8 a.m. Wednesday and when officers arrived at the Aurora home they heard gun shots inside.

John Lisowski was found shot in a first-floor living room and then officers heard additional shots fired on the home's second floor, police said.

That's where police said they found 14-year-old Vickie Lisowski and 12-year-old Christine Lisowski in an upstairs bedroom. The two girls had both been shot, police said.

Police said they then found Sungnam Lisowski shot in another bedroom.

John Lisowski was pronounced dead at the scene.

Vickie Lisowski was in serious but stable condition Wednesday at Rush-Copley Medical Center.

Christine Lisowski underwent surgery at Provena Mercy Center Hospital in Aurora before being transferred to Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago. She was listed in critical condition there Wednesday.
