A lecture and question-answer session is planned May 9 dealing with pre-menstrual syndrome.
The program will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. at LaCroix Methodist Church program center. Dr. Pat Coughlin, clinical director of the PMS Center in St. Louis, will be the speaker. Premenstrual syndrome, or PMS, includes symptoms of migraines, irritability, hypoglycemia, anger, depression and bloating. PMS can be triggered by tubal ligation, childbirth, using birth control pills, hysterectomy, stress or menopause.
The presentation is sponsored by the New Hope Counseling Center in Cape Girardeau. Cost is $10 if preregistered by May 2 or $12 at the door.
