Tony Minghi, a Secondary Education-Social Studies major at Southeast Missouri State University, likes a wide range of music, from light to heavy, and maybe even from sunny to partly-cloudy. As a rule, he likes anything and everything that doesn't suck. His favorite food is candy canes because they look better than they taste. Vault is his favorite drink because the commercial told him to like it. It's not Surge, though, just like Audioslave ain't Rage...

1. Mogwai "I know you are but what am I¿" - It's simple. A piano. Chimes. A drum machine. Everyone who hears this song loves it.

2. As I Lay Dying "94 Hours" - Beneath the face-tearing riffs and vocals is a soft inner core of positive Christian lyrics.

3. Brand New "Seventy Times 7" - By far some of the meanest 'emo' lyrics on the face of the planet.

4. Botch "Micaragua" - It has a long drum/ringout intro, but it's worth the wait to hear the monster breakdowns.

5. Death Cab for Cutie "We Laugh Indoors" - Ben Gibbard sounds absolutely angelic in this song.

6. Poison the Well "Meeting Again for the First Time" - The perfect balance of beauty and beast.

7. Think Thank Thunk "Airplane" - Instrumental rock with a violin; it flows brilliantly. They play in Cape often.

8. The Format "Tie the Rope (acoustic)" - The original version can be found on 'Interventions and Lullabies', my favorite pop-rock album. Finding the acoustic version is definitely worth the search, though.

9. Between the Buried and Me "Autodidact" - The best song on my favorite album of 2005. Words can't describe the weight of this song.

10. Beastie Boys "Shake Your Rump" - The best song on my favorite album of all time.
