~ Meg Bryant, a graduate assistant at Southeast Missouri State University's Learning Enrichment Center, says that most of her favorite songs are from the '90s because those were her formative years. Bryant says that a perfect song for her is one that is original and relates to her own experiences in life.
1. "Novocaine for the Soul," Eels
It symbolizes my teenage angst from my high school era.
2. "Crystal Ship," the Doors
My favorite Doors song and the most romantic song I've ever heard.
3. "Little Earthquakes," Tori Amos
It's the little earthquakes in all our lives -- our unwritten hells finally spoken.
4. "Milk," Garbage
Haunting and seductive -- the perfect date theme.
5. "Trigger Happy Jack," Poe
My manic Monday theme song.
6. "Who Are You," the Who
The theme song to my favorite show!
7. "Benjamin," Veruca Salt
It's my broken-heart song.
8. "Dancing Queen," Abba
If I am ever tricked into marriage, it is my little girl dream to have this song played as I walk down the aisle.
9. "Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground," White Stripes
The only original contemporary song that I absolutely love.
10. "We Used to Be Friends," The Dandy Warhols
Past regrets revisited.
