The seventh annual Miss Riverfest Queen competition will be held June 11 as part of 1994 Riverfest activities.

Scheduled from for June 10-11 in downtown Cape Girardeau, Riverfest features entertainment and activities for the entire family.

Also back on the Riverfest schedule this year is the Little Miss Riverfest competition.

Event chairman Bonnie McCullough said the Miss Riverfest contest is open to all area students who attended high school during the 1993-94 school year. Miss Riverfest contestants must also have a C grade point average or above, be single and have no children.

Contestants will participate in an interview competition on Saturday morning and at 2 p.m. will be presented in formal wear on the Riverfest main stage. The winner will reign over Riverfest activities along with Little Miss Riverfest 1994.

Miss Riverfest 1993 Christina Brumbaugh and little Miss Riverfest 1992 Jessica Eftink will co-host the pageant, which is sponsored by CyberTel of Cape Girardeau.

Girls five and six years old may compete in the Little Miss Riverfest pageant. Contestants will compete in party dress for a prize package which includes a crown, trophy, savings bond and gift certificates. Trophies will also be awarded for "Best Dressed" and "Best Personality" in the Little Miss Riverfest competition.

The entry fee for both competitions is $50 and pre-registration is required. For additional information about the pageants, contact McCullough at 339-1511.
