Christmas is almost four months off, but members of St. Francis Medical Center's Auxiliary already are in the holiday spirit as they plan for the auxiliary's annual Christmas Tree Gala.
The event will be held on Nov. 15 at the Drury Lodge and will raise money for patient services, said auxiliary president, Anna Drury.
A number of civic organizations will participate in the Christmas Tree Gala. Trees, wreaths, centerpieces and other seasonal decorations donated by the groups will be auctioned.
Gala chairman Carol Robinson said a number of groups have expressed an interested in decorating Christmas trees in silver, red and white, and in a Victorian style.
Trees and other large decorations purchased at the Christmas Tree Gala will be delivered by the auxiliary to the purchasers' homes.
This is the second year that the auxiliary has conducted the local Christmas Tree Gala, which was originally established several years ago as a benefit event for Wiser Inc.
The auxiliary's Christmas Tree Gala is open to the public. For more information about the event call the auxiliary office at 339-6133.
