Enterprise Products Partners shut down its Gulf Coast-to-Midwest pipeline Friday after a valve problem at its Scott City terminal.

The pipeline carries refined oil products and had propane in it at the time the incident occurred.

Some propane was released in the immediate vicinity, said Rick Rainey, Enterprise spokesman.

"We're in the process of working on it now and we're not sure when it will return to service," Rainey said Friday.

There were no injuries, he said.

Enterprise has been in touch with local and regulatory authorities regarding the incident, Rainey said.
