Don't be disappointed. No one did.

The last-minute rush of entries and a judge with sick family members has pushed back the contest one week. More than 125 pie recipes were received in all, making it one of the Southeast Missourian's most successful cooking contests.

Finalists in each category will be notified by phone Monday. They will be asked to bake up their creations to be delivered to the Southeast Missourian main office, 301 Broadway, by 10 a.m. Saturday morning.

The winners will be announced in the Wednesday, Dec. 23 edition of the newspaper -- just in time for Christmas celebrations.
