PIANO STUDENTS QUALIFY FOR COMPETITION AT STATE

Piano students of teachers Becky Fulgham, Alicia Wappel, and Marge Main recently received "I" rating in district auditions held at Southeast Missouri State University.

Students receiving a "I" rating were: John Detore, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Detore; Bryan Daume, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Daume; Jennifer Layton, daughter of John and Mary Layton; and Kym Gilles, daughter of Jerry and Henrietta Gilles. All four students are from Cape Girardeau.

The students were required to play two piano compositions by memory. Students receiving a "I" rating are eligible to compete at the Missouri Music Teachers Association state convention held at Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg.
