PHOTO '95 EXHIBIT TO OPEN FRIDAY

Photo '95, a nationwide exhibition of photography, will be presented at Gallery 100 beginning Friday.

The opening reception and award ceremony will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the gallery, 1707 Mount Auburn Road.

The show is the fifth annual national photography exhibition sponsored by the Southeast Missouri Council on the Arts. Nearly 250 entries were received from 22 states this year.

This year's juror is Michael Johnson, an associate professor of art at Murray State University.

Johnson creates artwork in three media -- photography, video and painting. He most recently has exhibited in the National Computer-Video Invitational at Eastern Washington University, Altered and Alternative Photographic Images in Dallas, and The Nude in Lexington, Ky.
