The Perry County Prosecuting Attorney's office charged Koenig on Friday with one felony count of child abuse. He is being held on a $5,000 cash-only, personal recognizance bond and faces up to seven years in prison if convicted.

According to a sworn statement filed with charges by detective Direk Hunt, the girl had injuries to her arm, abdomen and both legs, which were consistent with pattern-type injuries that could be caused by a hanger.
