Jared Keith Leimbach, 25, of Perryville, Missouri, was arrested by Perryville police and has been charged with first-degree domestic assault and misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child.
Leimbach's bond was set at $25,000 cash only.
Officers went to the 600 block of Main Street of Perryville about 6:30 p.m. Sunday, and Leimbach was placed in handcuffs, according to the probable-cause statement filed by Perryville Police Sgt. Danny Marler.
Officers then checked the adult female victim for injuries. She said he continued to push her to the ground as she tried to get away, Marler wrote.
Marler documented the victim had bruising on her right hip, red marks around her neck and bruising on her elbow. Marler wrote he observed a large clump of hair where the victim said she was thrown.
The victim said she and Leimbach began arguing at a local dollar store, and he began throwing landscaping rocks at her, according to the statement.
At one point, he grabbed a hand full of rocks, threw them and struck her car to her rear, according to the statement. The rocks shattered a side window, sending broken glass into the vehicle, Marler wrote. The victim's 6-year-old son was inside the vehicle in a booster seat.
