To mark its 40th year, the Perryville Area Career and Technology Center is hosting an open house from noon to 7 p.m. Thursday at 326 College St. in Perryville.
The event is meant give visitors the chance to check out the center's classrooms and see students and teachers at work.
Refreshments will be served, and chamber of commerce members are invited to a special Business After Hours reception from 4 to 7 p.m.
The career and technology center is on the campus of Perry County School District 32 and serves students from Perryville High School, St. Vincent High School in Perryville and Ste. Genevieve and Valle high schools in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, as well as Saxony Lutheran High School in Fruitland and Meadow Heights High School in Patton, Missouri.
It offers college credit and professional certifications in a variety of fields.
