The Perry County Sheriff's Office on Thursday confiscated 125 marijuana plants -- some of them 12 to 14 feet tall, the sheriff's office reported.
The plants were found at a residence off Perry County Road 858, where 56-year-old Kenneth P. Zahner and his wife, 54-year-old Pamela Zahner, were taken into custody after authorities executed a search warrant, according to the sheriff's office.
Kenneth Zahner is charged with distribution of a controlled substance, production of a controlled substance, unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, court records show. He is being held on $15,000 cash-only bond.
Pamela Zahner is charged with distribution of a controlled substance, production of a controlled substance, four counts of possession of a controlled substance other than marijuana, possession of marijuana and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, according to court records. She is being held on $15,000 cash or approved surety bond.
Another search warrant issued for a home on Parker Lake Drive in Perryville, Missouri, led to the arrest of Bryan Chrisop, 36, and Amber Dippold, 28, authorities said.
Chrisop is charged with distribution of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance other than marijuana, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, according to court records. He is being held at Perry County Jail on a $25,000 cash only bond.
Dippold was charged with unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, the sheriff's office said. She was released on a summons.
The sheriff's office executed the search warrants, along with the Perryville Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
