PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- A 22-year-old Frohna, Mo. man will pay $1,358.50 in fines and court costs after he pleaded guilty last week to 17 charges of taking wildlife illegally, according to a Missouri Department of Conservation news release.

Eldon Edgar Luckey made the plea in Perry County on Tuesday, online court records show. Luckey faced charges that included possession of illegally taken wildlife and failing to properly label wildlife, the department said. In addition to the fines, Luckey could have his hunting and fishing privileges revoked at a later date, the department said.

The investigation conducted in December uncovered dozens of deer and turkey trophies representing years of illegal hunting activities, according to the conservation department.
