Perry County sheriff’s deputies arrested a fugitive from Monroe County, Illinois, on Sunday.
An off-duty deputy found Kyle Allen Green, 29, of Perryville, Missouri, about 7:30 a.m. at a house in the 1200 block of St. Mary’s Road in Perryville, according to Perry County Sheriff Gary Schaaf.
Green originally acted like he was going to run but said he knew about the warrant when asked, Schaaf said. An arrest warrant was filed Tuesday with Perry County Circuit Court.
Green was on 30 months’ probation from Monroe County for home repair fraud from May 6, 2014. Green failed to appear in court four times and had only paid a portion of the $2,810 of restitution he owed, according to Monroe County deputy circuit clerk Luann Walsh.
One of the conditions of Green’s probation was he was not supposed to leave Illinois without permission from his probation officer.
Green’s original charge was he did not perform all of the landscaping work he was contractually obligated to do, totaling $5,620 worth, at a residence in Columbia, Illinois. Home-repair fraud is a class 4 felony in Illinois and can carry a sentence of one to three years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Green’s bond was set at $20,000 cash only.
