Thomas Industrial Coatings Inc. of Pevely, Mo., was awarded a $58,000 contract for work on the Bois Brule Creek Bridge on Highway 51 in Perry County. The contract was awarded Feb. 4 during a video conference meeting. The project includes painting the steel beams on the newly repaired bridge. The deck of the bridge was replaced through the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program in spring 2010. This contract marks the completion of necessary repair work on this structure. As work is underway, traffic will not be affected except for occasional shoulder restrictions. Work zones will be marked with signs as the improvements are being made.
