PEROT DRIVE CONTINUES ON SATURDAY

Efforts to collect signatures for H. Ross Perot's presidential bid are continuing is Cape Girardeau County.

Perot supporters will collect signatures at two locations Saturday: the K-mart parking lot, 11 S. Kingshighway in Cape Girardeau, and Jackson Meat and Deli, 507 W. Main in Jackson. The petition efforts in both places will be held from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Volunteers here and throughout the state are attempting to collect enough signatures to get Perot's name placed on Missouri's November ballot as a presidential candidate.

Ken Scheer and Dr. Hal Brown, both of Cape Girardeau, are county co-coordinators of the petition drive. Mike Ponder of Cape Girardeau is coordinating the 8th District effort.
