PEOPLE & THINGS: SOUTHWEST SCHOLARSHIPS

Several area students received scholarships to attend Southwest Missouri State University. Ruth Bechtold, daughter of Scott and Gary Bechtold of Cape Girardeau, received the Board of Governors Scholarship. Carly Brown, daughter of Steve Brown and Teri Wondra of Jackson; Keisha Hannan, daughter of Elizabeth Hannan of Cape Girardeau; Paul Johns, son of Roger and Tammy Johns of Jackson; and Dayna King, daughter of Joey and Mary Pat King of Jackson, all received a freshman academic scholarship. Andrew Luehrs, son of Edgar and Peggy Luehrs of Jackson, received a freshman Presidential Scholarship. Jonathan Anderson of Cape Girardeau received a merit scholarship.
