Anne Heche pregnancy revealed during interview

LOS ANGELES -- Add expectant mother to the roles taken on by Anne Heche.

Heche, who married cameraman Coleman Laffoon on Saturday in a ceremony in Los Angeles, is three months pregnant, publicist Brad Cafarelli said Thursday.

The 32-year-old actress and Laffoon had dated for a year. They met while working on a documentary about her ex-girlfriend, Ellen DeGeneres.

Heche discussed her high-profile relationship with the comedian during an interview with Barbara Walters on ABC's "20/20" Wednesday night. Walters revealed that Heche is pregnant during the interview.

Heche and DeGeneres broke up in August 2000 after three years.

Governor to play new role

TOPEKA, Kan. -- Gov. Bill Graves gets to play a new role tonight when he appears in "The Odd Couple" at the sold-out season-opening gala for the Topeka Civic Theatre and Academy.

Graves will portray Vinnie, a poker-playing buddy of the Oscar Madison and Felix Unger characters in the Neil Simon comedy.

So is Graves testing whether Ronald Reagan's actor-to-governor career path runs both ways?

"No," he said. "Several of these folks have suggested I keep my day job."

Graves said he's happy to do the role, though he admitted that when he agreed to perform, he believed his part had fewer lines.

Clinton in tourism ad for Britain

NEW YORK -- He never inhaled at Oxford, but Bill Clinton's role in a pro-Britain tourism campaign grew hazy after a spokeswoman insisted the ex-president had not officially plugged England as a vacation hot spot.

"We did not authorize this," said spokeswoman Julia Payne Wednesday after hearing that Clinton was one of several celebrities featured in the upcoming campaign. "We're waiting to hear from officials there."

Not so, say officials at the British Tourist Authority. Clinton was approached in May by an authority staffer during a library festival in Wales, where the ex-president gave a quick thumbs up, said Orla Farren, spokeswoman for the tourism group.

Payne said that while Clinton never agreed to go along with the campaign, "he does not mind that his words are being used along with other famous people. ... He doesn't mind that he's part of a group of people touting Britain."

Couple weds on 'Today' show

NEW YORK -- All the votes from viewers were in and millions of Americans packed the pews, in a manner of speaking. All that was left was Jenny LaRou and Jeff Scott's final words: "I do."

LaRou and Scott, both 27 and residents of Salem, Mass., married on NBC's "Today" show Wednesday..

About 120 guests filled Rockefeller Plaza outside the "Today" show studios in New York. A reception was to follow at the Rainbow Room.

For two months, the couple's wedding has been a main feature of the morning show. Each week, viewers have planned the wedding by voting on the details: cake, gown, flowers, rings, invitations -- even LaRou's hairstyle -- via the Internet.

NBC paid for the $60,000 wedding.
