'The Bachelor,' reality show girl break up
NEW YORK -- Reality has set in for yet another reality TV couple, as Andrew Firestone and Jen Schefft from "The Bachelor" have broken up. The heir to the Firestone tire and wine fortune proposed to Schefft, a petite Marcia Brady look-alike, in May on the ABC dating show. But the couple released a statement to the syndicated entertainment series "Extra" on Monday, saying they split after realizing their future goals are different.
Singer Pink describes days of fast-food work
NEW YORK -- Like a lot of teens, Pink worked at her share of fast-food restaurants. She wasn't exactly a candidate for employee of the month at any of them, though. "I was horrible," said Pink, describing her days at a McDonald's outside Philadelphia. "I would open, because I'd be tripping on acid ... and I would say, 'Could I have bathroom duty?' And I would sit in bathroom and watch the tiles." But despite smoking cigarettes at the drive-thru window and doling out free fries to her friends, she says she worked there a year. She is now a multiplatinum artist with hits including "Get the Party Started."
Grammy nominee gets arrested for marijuana
KINGSTON, Jamaica -- Grammy nominee Buju Banton pleaded innocent to marijuana charges in a Jamaican court. Police were conducting routine anti-drug raids in Jamaica's capital last week and officers found three fully grown marijuana plants in the entertainer's home weighing 2 pounds. Banton's "Friends for Life" album was nominated Thursday for best reggae album at the 46th annual Grammy Awards, set for Feb. 8 at the Staples Center arena in Los Angeles.
Glen Campbell pleads innocent to assault PHOENIX -- Glen Campbell pleaded innocent Tuesday to a felony aggravated assault charge stemming from an incident with a police officer after an alleged hit-and-run collision near his Phoenix home. Campbell, 67, was accused of kneeing an officer after he was arrested Nov. 24 for allegedly striking another car and leaving the scene. Nobody was hurt.
