What do you do in your spare time? "Play softball for St. Francis, fish and serve as a reserve law enforcement officer (after my wife releases me from laundry and vacuuming duties)."

The best part of my life is: "My wife Cathy and four children, Rick, Ron, Kim and Angie."

Describe your oddest experience: "The most recent was being recalled to active duty with my Naval Reserve Unit and serving in the Persian Gulf on the island of Bahrain."

What do you like about this area? "The scenic countryside, friendly people and 98-cent gasoline."
