A physician affiliated with Hematology and Oncology Associates of Southeast Missouri Hospital recently completed certification. James C. Mosley III passed examinations to become board certified in medical oncology. He completed a residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University in St. Louis. Mosley also completed a clinical fellowship in hematology and oncology at Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
Karlyle K. Christian-Ritter, a neonatologist on staff at Saint Francis Medical Center, has been named medical director of the Saint Francis Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. A native of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Christian-Ritter is a board-certified neonatologist with 16 years of experience.
Dr. Bindu Finnell has joined Saint Francis Medical Center as a hospitalist, where she is one of nine who care for inpatients. Hospitalists are normally internal medicine physicians or pediatricians who specialize in the care of hospitalized patients. Finnell is board certified in internal medicine and earned a medical degree from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, Ill.
The MD Anderson Physicians Network has given credentials to Dr. Olivia Aranha, a medical oncologist and hematologist at Cape Medical Oncology, and Dr. Joseph S. McCadams, a general surgeon on staff at Saint Francis Medical Center. Aranha earned her medical degree from the University of Mumbai in India and has advanced training in cancer treatment. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Wayne State University in Detroit, a fellowship in hematology and oncology at Northwestern University in Chicago and a fellowship in chemotherapeutics and chemoprevention at Wayne State University. McCadams earned his medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Ga., and completed his residency at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, Tenn.
David Ross, director of the Show Me Center at Southeast Missouri State University, has received the Charles A. McElravy Award. The honor is given by the International Association of Assembly Managers board of directors for contributions to the association and profession of public assembly facility management. The board will honor Ross at the association's annual conference and trade show July 26 in Houston.
IESI Corp., a specialist in waste disposal and recycling services, has hired Rebecca Wright as account executive for its Cape Girardeau office. Wright is responsible for commercial sales in the area. She has more than 15 years of experience in professional sales and account management
The Bank of Missouri has hired Philip Moore to its commercial lending team. Moore is assistant vice president and commercial lender, with more than 15 years of experience in the field. He is a member of the Cape Noon Optimist Club, Cape Girardeau Area Chamber of Commerce and Lynwood Baptist Church.
Dr. Karen Bangert of Skyview Animal Clinic in Cape Girardeau attended the 118th annual Missouri Veterinary Medical Association Convention in St. Charles, Mo. At the meeting, Bangert attended a continuing education program, which included more than 20 speakers on topics designed to enhance veterinarians' knowledge in the field.
